The other day I saw that two people were able to buy Wii consoles online here for $249.99.
I get detailed reports of purchases, so I know that Amazon is getting new shipments of Wii consoles for $249.99, I just don’t know when.

Can you really buy a $250 Wii console?
Well, two people did just thru this site alone the other day, so there is hope.
If you don’t have the time nor inclination to do that, there are still plenty of Wii consoles for sale above — but since those are so easy to buy online, they’re more than $250…
Wii stock is loaded with new Consoles — with hundreds of the hardly-in-stock Nintendo Wii consoles on Amazon, as a few clicks around this website will show you.
And you’ll notice that most of the Wii stock on Amazon is from third-parties.
But the cool thing is that Amazon has this guarantee of protection privacy and security policy that if you dig thru and read the return terms, they’ll cover you on returning an item — up to $2,500!
Wii Stock Can Be Returned…
I can vouch for the fact that Amazon does return the money to clients.
Of the 100 or so Wii consoles sold thru this site, I’ve seen about three returns go thru — and I’ve seen my referral fee taken back and the amount the people paid credited back, usually around $535.00 or so.
(I’m hoping those customers ended up finding a Wii console in the stores for $250, and that’s why they returned them.)
Safely Buy Wii Stock
Avoid the scams some people are falling prey to by scammers claiming to have a boatload of Wii stock.
Don’t wire anybody any money thru Western Union unless you know them — and even then, use caution.
Buy the Wiis in stock from Amazon as listed around this site, and read up on their safe shopping (and selling) tips.
That way, you’ll be most happy with the Wii stock you’ve found, and not crying on Christmas day.

It’s interesting to read the news reports and see the amount of new Wii consoles in stock each day dwindle.

If you peruse Google News reports about the Nintendo Wii System, you’ll find just how many people are desperate to get that game system under their 2007 Christmas trees.
U.S. Nintendo Wii System Game Consoles in Stock and Ready to Buy, December 2007
As of today, I’ve found 105 new Nintendo Wii Systems in stock and ready to buy online for customers in the United States of America.
The amount of U.S. Nintendo Wii System Game Consoles just decreased as I wrote this, so obviously the jacked-up price of the game systems isn’t deterring determined Christmas 2007 buyers.
U.K. Nintendo Wii Systems in Stock and Ready to Buy, December 2007
Amazon is showing 66 new Nintendo Wii System Game Consoles in stock and ready to buy online for U.K. (and some European country) residents.

God bless my readers.
One of them let me know that the $250 Wii Consoles I found on Amazon earlier today were only for the Amazon customers who won the vote and received a claim code.
(Thank you, whoever you are.)
So that leads me to ask: Where exactly are the Nintendo Wii consoles that cost only $250?
Many of the U.S. prices I’m seeing for any Wii Console or bundle package with games run around $500 - $600 bucks right now, like this Nintendo Wii Console & Donkey Kong Barrel Blast Bundle.
It seems like Amazon would get some in stock every day — at least 100 or 1,000 of them or something.
After all, Nintendo did ramp up production of new Wii consoles to 1.8 million per month. I figure at least 80k of those should land on Amazon.
The only way I figure you can find the newest Wii consoles as they come in stock is to check this link often, which is sorted by newest products tagged Wii on Amazon:
Newest Wii consoles and games for sale in U.S.
I’m reading so many interesting articles like “Why You Can’t Get Your Hands on a Wii” and “Your best bet on finding a Wii” and others talking about the Wii shortage.
Anyway, that last article about the Wii shortage said that stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, EB Games, Target, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart do get shipments of Wii consoles in stock, but they don’t know when and how many.
So if you’re desperate to get your hands on a Wii for the original price of $250, they say to call the stores as soon as they open daily and ask them when their next Wii shipment is coming in — and to be nice.
But, seeing how large the Wii shortage is in December 2007, the easiest (not necessarily the cheapest) and most surefire way to get your hands on one of the Wii consoles at this point is to buy a Wii console online, while they’re in stock.
Even those will eventually sell out as we get closer to Christmas.
(God knows it’s harder to find a Wii console online in Canada! Canadians, keep checking here for Wii consoles in stock, I saw some in stock this week and they quickly sold out.)
UK people, buy a Wii from the links above — or read this piece for help finding a Wii in stock…
Americans, there are handfuls of Wii consoles available for sale above — just consider the ramped-up price the cost of not having to stand in endless lines and call and call and call and call Best Buy every day till Christmas.
Yet Amazon reports they sold 1,400 Wii console in just 10 minutes, so to get your hands on any new shipments of Wii consoles, you gotta be quick…
Nintendo says there really is a limited supply of Nintendo Wii Consoles in stock and that they are not faking low supplies to drum up sales.
Makes sense to me.
I mean, if you had a supply of the 3rd hottest products of 2007 in your possession — as AOL has deemed the Nintendo Wii Console — with plenty of people scampering to pay double and triple the amount of the original under-priced $250 for the console, would you really hold them back to create a fuss?
I don’t think Nintendo is doing this.
Once and a while a product just comes along that the entire world takes to.
Who’s buying all these Nintendo Wii Consoles online and in the stores?
I believe Nintendo — as well as all of us — underestimated just how much we would like the Wii, how much our kids would like the Wii and blessedly stay out of our hair whilst playing it so we can blog…
How much non-gamers also like the Wii is a factor playing into all this fervent desire to buy a Nintendo Wii Console online at almost any cost to get the hottest game of the year under their Christmas tree.
Even the elderly are playing Wii…
I mean, check out this Christian Science Monitor article talking about how surprised Nintendo was that the elderly are taking to playing Nintendo Wii.
Who could’ve predicted that a video game would’ve swooped into nursing homes like that alien energy in the movie Cocoon and give older people a new swing in their gout-ridden steps?
This is a good thing…
Either way, if you’re one of the unfortunate ones to miss out on buying a Nintendo Wii online because the stock runs out as demand overtakes those millions of new consoles being made in China as you read, don’t despair — you can always buy that 90 DVD set of movies from United Artists featured on Oprah’s 2007 “Favorite Things” show.
Then maybe once you get thru a few of those movies and get tired of sitting on your couch, the Nintendo Wii Console Christmas madness will have passed, and maybe they’ll once again have more back in stock and closer to the original $250 price.
But I wouldn’t count on it.
Better get ‘em while their hot and in stock and ready to buy online…
