I’m reading so many interesting articles like “Why You Can’t Get Your Hands on a Wii” and “Your best bet on finding a Wii” and others talking about the Wii shortage.
Anyway, that last article about the Wii shortage said that stores like Best Buy, Circuit City, EB Games, Target, Toys R Us and Wal-Mart do get shipments of Wii consoles in stock, but they don’t know when and how many.
So if you’re desperate to get your hands on a Wii for the original price of $250, they say to call the stores as soon as they open daily and ask them when their next Wii shipment is coming in — and to be nice.
But, seeing how large the Wii shortage is in December 2007, the easiest (not necessarily the cheapest) and most surefire way to get your hands on one of the Wii consoles at this point is to buy a Wii console online, while they’re in stock.
Even those will eventually sell out as we get closer to Christmas.
(God knows it’s harder to find a Wii console online in Canada! Canadians, keep checking here for Wii consoles in stock, I saw some in stock this week and they quickly sold out.)
UK people, buy a Wii from the links above — or read this piece for help finding a Wii in stock…
Americans, there are handfuls of Wii consoles available for sale above — just consider the ramped-up price the cost of not having to stand in endless lines and call and call and call and call Best Buy every day till Christmas.
Yet Amazon reports they sold 1,400 Wii console in just 10 minutes, so to get your hands on any new shipments of Wii consoles, you gotta be quick…
This is London says UK folks in Great Britain, England, Scotland, Wales (forgive my American understanding of the United Kingdom) and Northern Ireland) are paying a pretty pound for a Wii Console online.
But I’m thinking to myself that those folks don’t know about the Nintendo Wii Console Bundle Deal (on sale and in stock-a-plenty for UK customers) that’s going for a price of £348.75 as of this writing.
Those Wii Consoles reportedly can be shipped to addresses within the United Kingdom (including England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) and Republic of Ireland — but not all Republic of Ireland locations, so plop in your address after adding a Wii console to your shopping cart online and see if it works.
The drop-down menu asking how many Wii consoles you want to add to your shopping cart indicates that they have plenty of Wii consoles in stock in the UK to buy online.
Hope that’s true and hope the supply of Wiis in the UK (United Kingdom, British Isles, Great Britain, Wales, London, England, or wherever!) never runs out of stock…
Wii Consoles are finally back in stock in Canada and ready to buy online!
All this time I’ve been bemoaning the fact that Canadians can’t buy the Wii console online because they were perpetually out of stock.
Then lo and behold today I see this Nintendo Wii Console (Includes Wii Sports) in stock online and ready to buy!
That one says there’s only one left in stock as of this writing.
Oops — looks like that Wii console just got purchased online as I was writing.
For so long I’ve been searching for Wii consoles in stock in Canada — and keep finding none, until those released today.
Okay, here’s my advice to those looking to buy a Wii Console in stock in Canada — bookmark this website page and keep checking it several times daily to see when more Wii consoles will be released into stock in Canada.
Since those were available today, maybe that means Nintendo will release more Wii consoles to buy in stock in Canada online more frequently now.
And keep checking these pages as well for any available Wii consoles in stock in Canda:
1 - Find Wii Console in Stock and Ready to Buy Online in Canada
2 - Find Wii System in Stock and Ready to Buy Online in Canada
3 - Find Nintendo Wii Console in Stock and Ready to Buy Online in Canada
Nintendo says there really is a limited supply of Nintendo Wii Consoles in stock and that they are not faking low supplies to drum up sales.
Makes sense to me.
I mean, if you had a supply of the 3rd hottest products of 2007 in your possession — as AOL has deemed the Nintendo Wii Console — with plenty of people scampering to pay double and triple the amount of the original under-priced $250 for the console, would you really hold them back to create a fuss?
I don’t think Nintendo is doing this.
Once and a while a product just comes along that the entire world takes to.
Who’s buying all these Nintendo Wii Consoles online and in the stores?
I believe Nintendo — as well as all of us — underestimated just how much we would like the Wii, how much our kids would like the Wii and blessedly stay out of our hair whilst playing it so we can blog…
How much non-gamers also like the Wii is a factor playing into all this fervent desire to buy a Nintendo Wii Console online at almost any cost to get the hottest game of the year under their Christmas tree.
Even the elderly are playing Wii…
I mean, check out this Christian Science Monitor article talking about how surprised Nintendo was that the elderly are taking to playing Nintendo Wii.
Who could’ve predicted that a video game would’ve swooped into nursing homes like that alien energy in the movie Cocoon and give older people a new swing in their gout-ridden steps?
This is a good thing…
Either way, if you’re one of the unfortunate ones to miss out on buying a Nintendo Wii online because the stock runs out as demand overtakes those millions of new consoles being made in China as you read, don’t despair — you can always buy that 90 DVD set of movies from United Artists featured on Oprah’s 2007 “Favorite Things” show.
Then maybe once you get thru a few of those movies and get tired of sitting on your couch, the Nintendo Wii Console Christmas madness will have passed, and maybe they’ll once again have more back in stock and closer to the original $250 price.
But I wouldn’t count on it.
Better get ‘em while their hot and in stock and ready to buy online…
Everybody wants Cyber Monday 2007 ad deals, whether or not the day is actually made up or real.
And since the Nintendo Wii Console is the hottest Christmas 2007 gift wanted, I’m sure everybody will be searching online for “Cyber Monday 2007 Wii Deals and Ads” to try and find a bargain.
Well, we all know the Wii is in high demand and shorter supply, so my guesses are that not too many places will have Wii consoles at rock bottom prices for Cyber Monday 2007, but try these places just in case:
1 - Amazon recently released a bunch of Wii Consoles into their stock at 3 a.m. on Black Friday, so maybe they’ll do the same on Cyber Monday 2007 — who knows?
Check this search results page on Amazon for Wii Console deals
2 - Also, make sure to Check the home page of Amazon frequently for any more 3 a.m. Wii Console deals released to the buying public while the rest of the world is sleeping…
3 - Check BFads, who also lists online stuff for sale from various sites left over from their Black Friday stuff, I guess.
4 - Try this page on Deal Catcher to hunt for any Cyber Monday 2007 Wii deals in stock…
5 - Try Best Buy…
6 - Try Sam’s Club…
7 - Target just sent me this sneak peek at their Cyber Monday deals, and I don’t see a Wii on there…
8 - Try Circuit City…
By some miracle of God, a store may decide to move a bunch of Wiis online at the original price near $250 for Cyber Monday 2007, and I hope the favor of the Lord is upon you to get one if they do.
Most likely, at this stage in the game, the Wii bundles found on Amazon might be your best bet.
If you feel led to spend that much…
Okay, so I admit that standing in long lines in frigid weather to purchase the elusive Nintendo Wii Console from places like Best Buy and such looks like a kinda fun time.
That’s if you’re with good people in a safe place, loaded up with hot chocolate — or smart enough like one guy who brought a tent with a portable heater while he waited in a Black Friday line to buy something or ‘nother…
But just like most of my heady fantasies, reality is probably harsher and less exciting.
The concrete gets cold.
Maybe it’s not that bad right now; maybe you’re one of the folks who like running from store to store to store to find a Wii Console to purchase.
I’m not.
If it’s easy and I got the money, I’m all for buying stuff online — from places I trust, that is. Like Amazon.
The verdict is in — everybody wants a Wii for Christmas 2007.
We all know Jesus the Christ is the reason for the season (the One who put the Christ in Christmas), or at least I hope we all remember…
Well, He is definitely opening the windows of heaven for some of us who run Wii website, and scout around to find Wiis in stock to order online this Christmas season.
Just check out all the news reports of Wii Console shortages for Christmas 2007 already — thankfully, many online retailers (as you can see all around this page) still have Wii Consoles in stock and ready to order online to ship in time for Christmas 2007:

Naples Daily News, FL -

Nintendo Wii Hard to Find for Second Christmas in a Row

Those who lose out cry ‘Wii, Wii, Wii‘ all the way home
People want their Nintendo Wii Consoles now, and they want them cheap. But for all the ads I see proclaiming “Wii Blowout Sale” selling Wiis for $250, many of the reliable Amazon sources (the website I trust most) of Wii sellers are running higher than that right now.
So yeah, you can hedge your bets and wait till after Christmas to see if the price of Wii consoles goes back somewhere closer to the original sale price of around $250, but seeing as though Wii is one of the most popular game consoles selling out as soon as they’re in stock — don’t count on finding many at that cheap price…
ABC NEWS - NINTENDO RULES OUT WII PRICE CUT
ABC News -
“…we’re absolutely not considering a price cut.” he said nintendo was ramping out 1.8 million wii consoles per month but that a supply crunch was inevitable …
I was just reading this USA Today article saying that the Nintendo Wii Game Console is the most-request gift on kids’ holiday gift lists this year.
“…If you see one now, buy it,” says Brian Lucas of Best Buy.
At least there are plenty of Nintendo Wii Consoles in stock online, as you can see from checking around this website.
But as you can also see, the prices of the rapidly-selling Wii Consoles in stock are creepy up as the demand increases.
I understand why so many big and little kids want a Wii for Christmas.
As I type this, my little boy is reading the Wii weather forecast as his dad figures out how to get Internet access thru the Nintendo Wii Console.
We just got back from our cousin’s house for Thanksgiving — and there we saw all the cool stuff the Wii could do that we hadn’t set up yet, like access the Internet — so we’re getting our Wii console up to speed.
Get Your Wii While the Gettin’ is Good…
I’m so glad we already have our Wii console, bought when more were readily in stock than they are today — at least at Best Buy and other stores.
Nintendo has already sold 5 million Wiis, and will ship 17.5 million Wiis by March 2007.
Ah…life is good.
Make a beeline for popular Wii
By Mike Snider, USA TODAY
If you missed out on buying a Nintendo Wii during the holiday season last year and have it on this year’s list, you had better start shopping now.
Well, Black Friday has passed and it’s interesting to read thru the news reports of just how fast Nintendo Wii Consoles sold out as soon as they were in stock, or reports of people who got up in the middle of the night to buy a Wii in stock, not online - but these folks braved long lines and harried shoppers…
Thankfully, Cyber Monday will be here soon — and plenty of folks who missed buying the Nintendo Wii Consoles that sold out fast on Black Friday, will find better favor buying their Wii consoles in stock and online:
