It’s well over a month before Christmas, and people have already stood in line an hour to buy a Nintendo Wii game console, according to the Associated Press.

(That’s why my money is on buying Wii consoles online.)

Anyway, that’s an encouraging article, calling Nintendo Wii consoles the must-have gift of the season — with all types of non-gaming types looking to buy a Wii.

The piece talks about how as soon as Nintendo can make the Wiis and get them in stock, they sell out.

People aren’t even in Christmas mode yet, the reporter writes.

Once they get in Christmas mode, look out. I suggest you buy your Wii online now while they’re in stock — and avoid the hour-plus wait times as we get closer to that special day…

According to Nintendo, they will launch the super-popular Nintendo Wii console and games in 2008 in China and South Korea.

I was poking around the Amazon China website — gotta love those language translators on Google and Babel Fish! — and couldn’t even find the Wii console on there yet, and now I know why.

It’s good that the Chinese and South Koreans will soon be able to join in the Wii fun, and I hope I can figure out where the heck Amazon China’s Associates Program is by then — so I can join in the revenue-gain from all this hard work finding Wii consoles in stock for people to buy online.

Wii Fit Game #1 in Amazon Pre-Order Sales in Japan - When to buy one in America…The Wii Fit fitness game was already #1 on Amazon Japan in pre-order sales, so I know it’ll be a hot game, fitness board thing.

But Amazon Japan does not ship the Wii Fit game outside of Japan, so us United States of America folks will have to wait till Wii Fit United States of America game fitness board is online and in stock and ready to buy on January 1, 2008.

I just skimmed this interesting article that states that even though Nintendo plans to ship 1.8 million new Wii consoles in November and December of 2007, that won’t be enough to satisfy the more than 1.8 million people who want to buy them.

The article talks about shortages of Wii consoles around the world.

I’m a witness — it’s amazing to me that Amazon Canada continually shows no Wii consoles in stock, and doesn’t know when they’ll be back in stock.

But it makes sense.

Everybody is lovin’ the Wii.

Even the elderly are getting into playing Wii, and stroke patients are being rehabilitated with Wii playing.

I’m not a gamer, but I like playing Wii with my family.

It resurrects family time, and brings us all in the same room at times — like last night, when I wasn’t bemoaning the fact that all four of us were in separate rooms on separate screens.

Okay, so my husband was still on his laptop and not enjoying a round of bowling — but he usually does, even more so than I do with the kids.

I’m not even going to pretend that I know anything about buying a Wii Points Card to get points for the Wii virtual console games.

But I’m reading up on all the games like the SEGA Genesis classic, Sonic 3D Blast, and Wrecking Crew — both games that came out today for Wii virtual consoles.

Heck — we’ve yet to get our WiFi connected on our Wii console so I can figure out how to download these games and such…

But 2008 will be a banner year for many fresh new good changes!

And I’ll be hooking that puppy up before long.

Looks like these Wii Bundle deals like the Nintendo Wii Console Bundle Deal (Includes Wii Sports, Big Brain Adademy & Mario Party for UK customers are popping up all the time.

I’m constantly checking to see which pages go out of stock on Amazon.

I remove those as soon as I can, then I post up new Wii Console deals in stock when I find them.

Some console deals go out of stock on Amazon, others go up the next day.

So get ‘em while the gettin’ is good!

People are so into their Wiis that they are buying Wii skins to cover their consoles and controllers.

Can’t hurt, I guess, since I was just lamenting how dirty our Wii nunchuk controller’s wrist strap is already.

These Wii skins might offer some kind of protection against damage, I hope.

Mostly, they are probably just there to look cool.
