God bless my readers.
One of them let me know that the $250 Wii Consoles I found on Amazon earlier today were only for the Amazon customers who won the vote and received a claim code.
(Thank you, whoever you are.)
So that leads me to ask: Where exactly are the Nintendo Wii consoles that cost only $250?
Many of the U.S. prices I’m seeing for any Wii Console or bundle package with games run around $500 - $600 bucks right now, like this Nintendo Wii Console & Donkey Kong Barrel Blast Bundle.
It seems like Amazon would get some in stock every day — at least 100 or 1,000 of them or something.
After all, Nintendo did ramp up production of new Wii consoles to 1.8 million per month. I figure at least 80k of those should land on Amazon.
The only way I figure you can find the newest Wii consoles as they come in stock is to check this link often, which is sorted by newest products tagged Wii on Amazon:
Newest Wii consoles and games for sale in U.S.

Germany
France
UK, Ireland, Europe
Canada

I also went to amazon.com and tried to get the wii for the $249 price. The wii that they were selling at that price was from there voting contest that was only suppose to be available for the one day if you were picked to receive that special offer. I actually went one step further and called them because there promotion said that they could only be purchases on that day. The person I spoke with said that they could purchase the wii at any time still as long as they had that code. I would believe that there should be some way to let Amazon know that we don’t believe it is right to state one thing and do another.
Thanks
Wow, Jennifer — That’s good you followed thru and called Amazon about the $249 Wiis.
I love Amazon.
I hope they release a lot more Wiis in stock for the $250 price so people can get those.
And I hope the people who did get those claim codes really use them!
Happy Tuesday,
Paula
